How DigitalCubez handles data in Product Bundler: what the app reads from your store, why, and how long it keeps it.

Who we are
Product Bundler is a Shopify app made by DigitalCubez. For anything about this policy, use the contact form on this site.
Data from merchants
When you install the app, Shopify shares your store with us. We keep:
- your store’s domain, name, currency and time zone;
- the access token Shopify issues, so the app can work with your store;
- the bundles you create, and the products and variants in them;
- any image you upload as a bundle’s cart image;
- your plan and billing status, as Shopify reports it.
What the app changes in your store
To run your bundles, the app makes these changes in your store, and only for bundles you publish:
- a bundle product for each bundle shown as one item in the cart, hidden from search and sold only as the bundle;
- that product’s image: your uploaded cart image or the first product’s image, added to your store’s Files. When you change it, the old image is taken off the bundle product but stays in your Files;
- an automatic discount for each bundle, and the settings your theme and checkout read to show and price it;
- a web pixel for the storefront analytics below.
Unpublishing a bundle sets its bundle product to draft and removes its discount; deleting it also deletes its bundle product.
Order data
To show bundle sales in the app’s analytics and count orders towards your plan’s limit, the app reads each new order’s ID, date, currency, totals and line items (products, variants, quantities and the bundle each line came from).
The app does not read or keep customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses.
Storefront analytics
On your storefront, the app’s web pixel counts when a bundle is seen, used and added to the cart. Shopify only runs it when the shopper’s privacy choices allow it. Each event carries Shopify’s anonymous browser ID, which we keep only hashed and only for a couple of days, to count each visitor once a day. We never try to identify shoppers.
How we use data
Only to run the app: show your bundles on your storefront, apply their discounts, show your analytics, enforce your plan and help you when you contact us. We do not sell data, share it for advertising or use it to make automated decisions about people.
Where data is kept, and who else sees it
Data is stored on our servers and sent over encrypted connections. Besides Shopify, only the providers we need to run the app (hosting and email) process it, under their own data protection terms.
How long we keep it
- Store and bundle data: while the app is installed. When you uninstall, Shopify asks us 48 hours later to erase your store’s data, and we delete it then.
- Order records for analytics: while the app is installed, and deleted with your store’s data.
- Uploaded cart images: on our servers while the app is installed, and deleted with your store’s data. The copy in your store’s Files is yours, and stays until you delete it.
- Hashed visitor IDs: a couple of days.
- Messages you send us: as long as needed to answer them, and at most two years.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you: use the contact form on this site. Shoppers’ requests reach us through Shopify’s customer data requests, which the app answers automatically; as the app keeps no customer details, there is nothing about them to return or erase.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
